Good morning! Long week at the main event of the Northwestern causal inference workshop, and now I get the day to recuperate. Today’s goals:
Walk over to the Apple Store and ask them why my phone sucks and request they fix it
Walk over to the restaurant that the Bear is based on and get a sandwich
Work on the Mixtape revision
I have to get the revision to Yale on December 1st. At first I thought that meant “send them the book on December 1st”. But then I realized later it meant “the draft must be finished on December 1st”, which is decidedly different. It means it must have the Stata and R code both finished, for instance. It means all the figures are finished. It means all the typos are out. It means the book is ready to hand over. So I’ve set October 14th as the goal to have my draft finished and then I sent them something November 1st so that they tell me I am missing a hundred things and then I break my back for a month to get it done. What are the main updates? I’m going to put this behind the paywall as I rarely do that anymore, but this is kind of how the sausage is going to be made.
