The Nobel Prize in economics is upon us! We are only five days from its announcement! I love Nobel Prize day, just like I loved trophy day in Little League baseball as a kid and watching the Academy Awards with my mom and dad. Religiously, I never missed. It’s as far as I am concerned a community activity of coming together to celebrate our field but also our tribe and its members.
But unfortunately the Nobel Prize can only be given to three living people per year per award max. If you died, you aren’t eligible. And let’s be honest, a lot of people also made major contributions to economics that weren’t recognized.
