Mixtape Sessions Workshop Announcement
As some you probably know, I run an online platform called “Mixtape Sessions” which hosts workshops (both short and long by me and others) over Zoom and Discord about a range of topics that are relevant to empirical work. These are mostly econometrics workshops in the “causal inference” vein with one exception. One of the things I’m committed to is getting smart people with strong research experience and who are also good at teaching to come and run these workshops on a variety of topics and starting this Thursday, we have another one by Dr. Brigham Frandsen, professor of economics at BYU. The workshop is two days long, each running 3 hours in the evening, and is about the intersection of machine learning and causal inference, which is a topic that Brigham recently published on in a paper entitled “Machine Labor” with Josh Angrist in an issue of Journal of Labor Economics.
