Apologies that this substack has been so slow to update lately. The excuse is that I have had a set of personal milestones coming and they hit tomorrow. It has felt a little like swimming in a river or a lake. Swimming in a pool is safe. Even if the water gets deep, you’re always close enough to the side you can just get there fast plus there’s lifeguards and buoys.
But swimming in large bodies of water created by nature and not man are wild. If you go out too far, and I always have been one who goes out too far, you can die. And if you panic, you must learn to make it brief. And if there are tides or if there are fast moving parts, then you just hope you are prepared. So I have been trying to keep up with the water. Trusting in the goodness of the universe and propelling my body forward.
